The second day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya which gets underway at 9:00am CET will provide the opportunity for several drivers to get acquainted with their 2017 cars.

Mercedes will once again split the day between Lewis Hamilton in the morning, and Valtteri Bottas in the afternoon. It was a fruitful day of work for the German team yesterday, Hamilton topping the time sheets with a 1:21.765 which was just under his 1:22.000 pole time from last year's Spanish Grand Prix.

Ferrari lines up Kimi Raikkonen who, like a Sebastian Vettel yesterday, will continue to dial in  the potential of the Scuderia's promising SF70H.

Max Verstappen takes over from Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull Racing, and is hoping for a trouble-free run to put more mileage on the team's new RB13, while Stoffel Vandoorne will equally hope to be able to put McLaren's MCL32 through its paces following a pwoer unit chnage yesterday which plagued Fernando Alonso's day.

Jolyon Palmer was entrusted with Renault's filming day on Sunday, so he'll be getting his second run in the Regie's R.S.17.

Estebans Ocon takes the baton from Sergio Perez at Force India, while Daniil Kvyat follows Carlos Sainz at Toro Rosso. Kevin Magnussen gets a second consecutive day in the Haas VF-17.

Two men which will be under particular scrutiny will be Formula 1 rookies Lance Stroll and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Stroll gets his long-awaited grand debut at Williams, although the young Canadian already has a wealth of F1 mileage under his belt, having benefitted from a private testing programme last year with a 2014-spec car.

Ferrari reserve driver Giovinazzi subs this week at Sauber for the still-recovering Pascal Wehrlein, who should be back behind the wheel on Monday.

As yesterday, F1i will be live from Barcelona from 9:00am CET to provide live timing and commentary all day.
