12 years on from the events of 1994, Imola hosted its final grand prix. Michael Schumacher took pole position - breaking Ayrton Senna's record of 65 at the same time - and went on to take his first victory of the season as he held off Fernando Alonso's Renault. The San Marino Grand Prix dropped off the calendar at the end of the season and has never returned.
