Congratulations to former Formula 1 drivers Sebastian Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Kazuki Nakajima, who between them piloted the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid to a narrow win at the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Spa race this weekend.

It had been the sister #7 car driven by Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi who had been in front for most of the afternoon, but two full course yellows gave the #8 a break and allowed them to get the upper hand.

"Today we were not the fastest for sure. I think #7 would have deserved it much more," admitted Buemi, who raced in F1 with Toro Rosso from 2009 to 2011.

"We certainly did have the luck today," added Davidson, who drove for BAR, Minardi and Super Aguri between 2002 and 2008. "If anyone says you make your own luck in this world, and in particular in racing, then you can look at this race because we clearly had it all today."

"I have quite mixed feelings actually because we were quite lucky," said former Williams driver Nakajima. "At the end of the day it was a great result for the team. It is good to know we have some good luck with us this year."

The trio lead the WEC championship points after two events so far in 2017.
