F1i has been looking at France's win drought in F1, with Olivier Panis the last Frenchman to win a grand prix back in 1996. It was an incredible win for Ligier around the streets of Monaco, with Panis one of only seven cars to be classified and one of only three to still be circulating at the end of the race. The Frenchman won from 14th place on the grid in a wet/dry race, leading home David Coulthard and Johnny Herbert to give Ligier its final grand prix victory.
