Fernando Alonso won the 2012 European Grand Prix on this day four years ago for Ferrari, rising from 11th on the grid to take an emotional home victory in Valencia ahead of fellow world champions Kimi Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher. The race also marked Schumi’s 155th and final podium appearance in F1.
