Valtteri Bottas (pole, first, 25 points) : 9/10
It was a near perfect weekend for the Finn when the serious business got underway. Would his pole have stood up if not for the yellow flags? We’ll never know but his lap was world-class. So was his race that he led from lights out to the checkered flag following a start that rubbed right up against the limits of the rules and despite blisters on his tyres that let Vettel close in during the final laps of the race. The win rekindles his chances for the title and keeping his Mercedes ride in 2018.
