Through all the ups and downs this season, Stroll now trails his team leader and mentor by a single digit. After a poor showing in Saturday qualifying, the Canadian kept it all together in the race, moving up the order with a tidy performance and had Vandoorne in his sights before having to lift. He blotted his copybook on the cool-down lap however when he clumsily veered into Vettel's Ferrari, destroying the Ferrari's rear left corner.
