Jolyon Palmer - 10th place, 1 point - 8/10
Palmer’s first point in F1 and it was earned courtesy of a bullish drive on a one-stop strategy. While Bottas started on the medium tyre, Palmer’s first was on the hards and after making up five places from 19th at the start he ran to the 31st lap, opening up strategic possibilities. With the medium typically a low working range tyre, Renault opted to run 25 laps on the softs to the end and Palmer delivered the required stint to hold on to tenth despite the close attentions of Sainz for the final 15 laps.
