14. Felipe Massa - 6.78
Whether or not it is Massa’s last season in the sport, it was very much a year of two halves for the Brazilian. Massa started in very strong form, scoring 36 points in the opening five races, getting the better of team-mate Valtteri Bottas in the process. from then on, however, his year went downhill as the Williams became less competitive in the face of improvement from Force India. Only added a further 17 points - six of which came as a result of a good drive in Austin - as he faded the closer retirement got. If he returns next year, he’ll have to show that was just due to his mindset.
