13. Jenson Button - 6.85
As has so often been the case in Button’s career, 2016 was a very consistent year. There was still the odd disappointing race - such as Singapore or Brazil - where Button was off the pace when not happy with his car, but more often than not he delivered close to the maximum of what the McLaren was capable of. Even exceeded it every now and then, with his skill in the wet prominent in Austria where he qualified on the second row and came home sixth. Outperformed by Alonso over the year, but still a good season in what was again a poor car.
