Ferrari has confirmed that they will award 19-year-old GP3 Series driver Antonio Fuoco with mileage at the post Austrian Grand Prix in-season test next week.

The young Italian, who currently races for Carlin in GP3, is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy whose precedent member Raffaele Marciello was also offered an opportunity to test for the Scuderia in Abu Dhabi last year..

Fuoco will drive Ferrari's SF15-T on the opening day of testing on Tuesday before handing over duties to regular test driver Esteban Gutierrez on Wednesday.

He also authored "The American Legacy in Formula 1", a book which recounts the trials and tribulations of American drivers in Grand Prix racing. Phillip is also a commentator for Belgian broadcaster Be.TV for the US Indycar series.
