Ferrari star Kimi Raikkonen has become the ambassador of a Finnish alcoholic beverage called “Iceman Long Drink”.
The brand has used its recently created social media channels to launch an internet campaign and post pictures of the 2007 Formula One world champion advertising its traditional dry gin in branded gear.
Having started racing in F1 with Sauber in 2001, Raikkonen quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his talent behind the wheel, but also as a result of his unflappable character off track, which earned him the “Iceman” moniker.
Throughout his storied career, the 20-time grand prix winner has also forged a reputation for being a party-lover that does not mind winding up with a few drinks.
By endorsing a beverage that must be “served as cool as the Iceman himself” according to the tagline, Raikkonen has found new supplies to further celebrate his recent one-year contract extension with Ferrari.
