Nico Rosberg described the incident when he threw his cap back at Lewis Hamilton after the United States Grand Prix as "just some games".
Hamilton was celebrating his third drivers' championship in the drivers' room before heading on to the podium when he grabbed the Pirelli caps for the first, second and third place drivers. With Rosberg sitting dejectedly in a seat in the corner of the room, Hamilton threw the second place cap in to his team-mate's lap.
Rosberg reacted by picking the cap up and throwing it back at Hamilton in what appeared a more aggressive manner, but when asked about the incident Rosberg replied: "That was just some games so nothing much, nothing more into that."
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff admits he is not surprised Rosberg would be unhappy so soon after seeing the championship won by his team-mate.
"Yeah, but it’s clear as a racing driver who has just lost a world championship for a second time against his team-mate in a tough race where certainly Turn 1 wasn’t very nice and then he lost by his own mistake," Wolff said. "It’s clear that if he is upset we have to have respect for that."
