Formula 1's 2019 schedule was officially confirmed by the FIA following Wednesday's meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in St. Petersburg.

There have been no changes to the venues or their number since the release of a provisional calendar back in September, with 21 races appearing on the docket.

Following F1's long lasting tradition, the season will kick off in Australia on March 17, a week earlier than in 2018, and will end once again at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi on December 1.

Bahrain and China will no longer be run back-to-back while teams will be spared this year's triple-header strain that took place in the early part of the summer.

In the latter part of the 2019 season, the Russian GP will take place one week after Singapore while the order between Mexico and the USA has been inverted, with Austin now following Mexico City.
