Pirelli reveals tyre allocations for Russian Grand Prix

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has released the teams' tyre choices for next week's Russian Grand Prix at Sochi.

Team will head to Russia straight after the Singapore Grand Prix for the third back-to-back race weekend.

Among the field's trio of front-runners, Mercedes has opted for 8 sets of the soft C4 compound - the least of any team - while rivals Ferrari and Red Bull have chosen 9 sets each of the red-rimmed rubber.

At the Silver Arrow outfit, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have selected a different number of sets of the medium C3 tyre, with the Briton taking on 4 sets of the yellow-rimmed compound.

Looking at the remainder of the grid, Renault, Haas, Racing Point and Alfa Romeo have all stocked up on 10 sets of the soft tyre, while Daniel Ricciardo and Kimi Raikkonen all the only driver to have opted for just a single set of the medium tyre.
