Yuki Tsunoda has been handed a pit lane start for Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix after AlphaTauri made changes to its driver's AT03 under Parc Fermé conditions.

Tsunoda was due to line up 16th on the race's grid following his result in Saturday's Sprint event.

However, since yesterday, AlphaTauri has fit new specification front and rear wings on the Japanese charger's car, changes that automatically trigger a pit lane start.

Furthermore, a same-specification new floor was also fitted to Tsunoda's AT03.

As a reminder, Ferrari's Carlos Sainz who finished Saturday's Sprint in second place has been demoted five spots on today's grid as the result of taking on a new power unit. He will therefore start P7.
