Channel 4 has announced its line-up for its first season covering Formula 1, with a number of familiar faces retained from the BBC.

The show will be hosted by Steve Jones, who has presented a number of Channel 4 programmes and was also the host of X Factor USA for its first season. Jones will be joined by David Coulthard who will provide expert analysis, while Eddie Jordan and Mark Webber will also be alongside Coulthard for a selection of live races.

Coulthard was part of last year's BBC coverage and will form half of an unchanged commentary line-up with Ben Edwards joining as Channel 4's lead commentator. Lee McKenzie is another of the BBC team who has joined Channel 4, with McKenzie continuing in her role as pit lane reporter.

A host of former drivers are included as part of Channel 4's coverage, with former HRT and Caterham driver Karun Chandhok taking on the role of technical expert. Alain Prost, Susie Wolff and Bruno Senna are all also involved, while legendary commentator Murray Walker will contribute as will Nicholas Hamilton.

Another familiar sound to BBC viewers in the UK is Fleetwood Mac's The Chain, with Channel 4 confirming it will also use the iconic song as part of its coverage.

Channel 4 will cover ten of the 21 races live this season - starting with the Bahrain Grand Prix - with the broadcaster showing the other 11 rounds via a highlights package.
