Follow final practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix with F1i's live coverage.

Mercedes was ominously quick throughout Friday practice with Nico Rosberg setting the pace in both sessions. McLaren emerged as its closest challenger in FP2 with Jenson Button third quickest as Ferrari focused on race pace.

Temperatures were uncharacteristically low on Friday but teams will be running with higher track temperatures in FP3 which could provide a challenge in terms of car set-up.

Ferrari is expected to show more of its low fuel pace, while Red Bull and Toro Rosso both look in good shape. Williams will run a new short nose on Felipe Massa's car in final practice before making a decision on whether it will be used in qualifying.

Today's qualifying format will be the same as in Australia after F1's key stakeholders failed to unanimously agree on a change despite the largely negative response to elimination-style qualifying at the first race.
