Pirelli has nominated the hard, medium and soft compound tyres for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The 2016 tyre regulations see three compounds selected for each race, with a set of the softest tyres required for Q3. Pirelli also nominates two other sets of tyres which must be available for the race - in Silverstone this is one set of hards and one set of mediums per driver - of which only one set must be used.

The teams are then free to select the other ten sets of tyres required for the race weekend as they so wish.

Silverstone is the second time the hard, medium and soft tyre compounds have been nominated this season, with next weekend's Spanish Grand Prix also seeing the hard tyre used for the first time.

Last year's British Grand Prix saw Pirelli nominate the hard and medium compounds for the high-speed Silverstone circuit.
