Felipe Massa went through a revolving door this winter, retiring from the sport before jumping back in after Valtteri Bottas' move to Mercedes.

Williams apparently made the 35-year-old Brazilian an offer he couldn't refused, premised on the fact that the Grove-based outfit required a fast and experienced driver to handle a season of change and development with the introduction of F1's new rules.

In the video below, Claire Williams underscore Massa's role of lead driver this season, with expectations running high.

Motor racing was a backdrop from the outset in Phillip van Osten's life.
