Felipe Massa went through a revolving door this winter, retiring from the sport before jumping back in after Valtteri Bottas' move to Mercedes.
Williams apparently made the 35-year-old Brazilian an offer he couldn't refused, premised on the fact that the Grove-based outfit required a fast and experienced driver to handle a season of change and development with the introduction of F1's new rules.
