Kevin Magnussen and his Chip Ganassi Racing's teammates were sitting tight at the top of the field with a little under ten hours to go in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
CGR's #1 Cadillac - steered by Magnussen, Renger van der Zande and Scotti Dixon - enjoyed a trouble-free run through the night at the Speedway, save for a pit road speed limit infringement by the Kiwi.
However, with five cars on the same lap it's a battle royal at the front among the top contenders. But fighting for top honours is exactly what Magnussen signed up for.
