Monza wasn’t supposed to be a good weekend for Renault as the team chose to stand pat with the Spec-B PU. Seventh on Saturday, just a tenth down on Grosjean in the more powerful Haas, brought a collective smile to the squad. On Sunday, Carlos was no competition for Romain or the Mercedes-powered Force Indias. But no matter, Renault will take the two points as it still maintains fourth place in the championship.
