Malaysian Grand Prix: Quotes of the weekend

While there was a thrilling Malaysian Grand Prix to excite fans this weekend, Sebastian Vettel's victory also meant there were plenty of entertaining quotes from the stars of the show in the Sepang paddock. F1i brings you a selection of the best, with Vettel featuring prominently himself...

"We know there is a long way ahead of us but for now, to be honest, I don’t care. I want to celebrate today, I want to get pissed tonight, I don’t care."

Sebastian Vettel on whether he can win the championship this season

"To be honest… I shouldn’t say it but I don’t know, I was sh**ting myself the last couple of laps because here and there the thought was coming to my head, I was looking at the top of the chassis and thinking 'this is a red, you’re about to win' and then I thought, 'OK, stop thinking that, otherwise you’ll miss the next apex or something'."

Vettel again, explaining his emotions inside the car

"Big difference between get closer and beat us because they are faster, massive difference there. Happy? No, not at all. Definitely the opposite of happy. But for sure, on behalf of our team, as I said on the podium, bring it on. We’re going to fight back big time."

Nico Rosberg, perhaps regretting saying he wanted Ferrari to close the gap after the Australian Grand Prix

"Unfortunately – and I say that because obviously Christian is here – Red Bull felt the need to take the 40 pieces of silver and that was the downside I think for Formula One and I don’t think we’ve recovered from that particular action."

Force India's Bob Fernley criticises Red Bull for leaving FOTA and agreeing an individual deal with Berne Ecclestone which led to the current revenue distribution in F1

"It’s getting better, so Cyril keeps telling us..."

Christian Horner on Renault's progress with its power unit

"I think it's a f***ing disgrace for Formula One"

One senior paddock member's view of Manor's approach to the Malaysian Grand Prix as it only ran one car at a time, with Will Stevens failing to race

“I had fun, I actually overtook two cars today!”
