McLaren will pull the covers off its 2020 contender - the MCL35 - on February 13th at an event staged at the team's Woking factory.
Given F1's unchanged regulation, McLaren's 2020 car will be a natural evolution of last years' MCL34 which allowed the team to finish P4 and 'best of the rest' in the Constructors' standings.
Like its rivals, McLaren dovetail its 2020 campaign with the team's crucial design and development program for 2021, when F1 introduces its new set of regulations.
"The rules don’t change a lot, so I our goal has to be to continue to incrementally improve. Keep our head down," recently said McLaren CEO Zak Brown.
"We’ve still got a lot to work on. We started last season more than 1.5 seconds off pole in and towards the end of the year it was as low as eight-tenths.
"That’s still a big gap we need to close."
McLaren driver Lando Norris took over the team's Youtube channel to leak - seemingly inadvertently, but perhaps not really - the MCL35's date launch in teh video below.
For now, Ferrari is on pole for the 2020 car launch period, the Scuderia unveiling its future prancing horse in Maranello on February 11.
