McLaren's 2016 car - the MP4-31 - has passed its mandatory crash tests two weeks before the start of testing.
With pre-season testing set to get underway at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on February 22, all cars must pass crash tests before they can run.
McLaren took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm its new chassis is now ready to take to the track following the mandatory FIA tests.
While there has been no official announcement from Mercedes, it has also passed all of the mandatory tests with its 2016 car. With Sauber confirming its new chassis has been homologated yesterday, only Red Bull has yet to comment on whether its car has passed the tests.
The 2016 pre-season testing schedule sees two four-day tests take place in Barcelona from February 22-25 and March 1-4 before the first race in Australia on March 20.
