Haas has completed a shakedown with its new F1 car ahead of its public unveiling on Sunday.

The team's first car completed an installation lap on Saturday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Haas was able to complete the running as part of its "promotional event" allocation, with Article 10 of the Formula 1 Sporting Regulations not specifying over how long a period an event can take place:

Article 10.2 states: "A PE [promotional event] shall be defined as an event in which a competitor participated purely for marketing or promotional purposes. No such test may exceed 100km in length and only tyres manufactured specifically for this purpose by the appointed supplier may be used."

The regulations also leave the door open with the FIA requesting information in advance relating to: "The date(s) and intended duration of the test."

 

With Ferrari carrying out a filming day at the circuit on Sunday, Haas has the opportunity to also continue filming alongside its technical partner.

Haas is set to launch its car online at 1500 local time (1400 GMT), while it will also be rolled out in the pit lane on Monday morning ahead of the start of running.
