Hamilton earns massive profit on sale of supercar

Lewis Hamilton has reportedly reaped an €8.6 million profit on the sale of his customized Pagani Zonda 760LH hypercar.

According to a report from Italy's Quattroruote, Hamilton sold the car that graced his garage in Monaco for a hefty €10 million last month, having acquired the stunning machine for an estimated €1.4 million in 2014.

Hamilton was seen occasionally driving the purple-colored supercar on the streets of Monte-Carlo.

Powered by a 7.3-litre V12 normally aspirated Mercedes engine, the 750 bhp one-off Pagani Zonda '760' is just one of five such models, but it's the only one to feature the 'LH' tag in addition to specific tweaks ordered by the seven-time F1 world champion, such as a manual gearbox.

Hamilton allegedly sold the car to a collector based in the UK as the Briton continues to downsize his collection of cars, bringing it in line with his environmental concerns.

The 36-year-old Grand Prix driver has vowed to only drive electric or hybrid cars on the road, and he's expected to soon take delivery of a new Mercedes-AMG Project ONE hypercar.
