Haas completed just 23 laps on the first day of the final test as it had to end running early due to a fuel system issue.
Esteban Gutierrez was driving on Tuesday but endured a disjointed session due to problems throughout the morning, which saw him complete 23 laps. At the lunch break Haas was confident of getting back out - hoping to complete a race simulation - but the team had not returned to the track over two hours in to the session before calling it a day.
Gutierrez is set to drive again on Wednesday before handing over to team-mate Romain Grosjean for the final two days of testing.
While the setback is frustrating for Haas with just three days remaining before its race debut, the new team managed solid mileage during the first test where it completed more laps than McLaren and Manor.
