Attention turns to racing after F1's ill-advised switch to elimination-style qualifying yesterday, a move which has already received universal agreement to be reversed in Bahrain.

Despite the negative reaction, qualifying delivered a familiar grid with Mercedes locking out the front row. Lewis Hamilton starts from pole ahead of Nico Rosberg, with the two Ferraris on row two. Sebastian Vettel - third on the grid - expects to be able to challenge the two cars ahead in the race.

As predicted by many during pre-season testing, Toro Rosso looks strong at the start of the new season and Max Verstappen is fifth on the grid alongside Felipe Massa, with Carlos Sainz and Daniel Ricciardo making up row four.

The two Force India drivers get free choice of tyre compounds from ninth and tenth having failed to reach Q3, while 11th-placed Valtteri Bottas is demoted to 16th after a gearbox change.

F1i's live coverage will bring you all the latest information about what is happening on track as well as news and features from the paddock.
