Nico Rosberg’s second practice for the British Grand Prix was curtailed after Mercedes found a water leak on the F1 points leader’s W07.

After finishing 0.033s adrift of pace-setter Lewis Hamilton in FP1, Rosberg reported some unusual behaviour from his car when he fired it up at the start of the afternoon session.

It took a few extra checks for the team to discover the leak. Mercedes initially though it had fixed the issue but it soon appeared the problems were terminal as Rosberg clambered out of his car while the mechanics busily removed the bodywork to start investigating the issue.

With 30 minutes left in the session, Hamilton leads the way ahead of the Red Bull duo of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.
