Follow live timing and coverage of the second day of the Silverstone in-season test with F1i.

The teams are set for their final day of in-season testing this year on Wednesday, with 11 races still to go. Fernando Alonso topped Tuesday's testing for McLaren, enjoying an advantage of 1.5 seconds over Esteban Ocon's Mercedes, with Alonso the only driver to run the supersoft tyre.

Stoffel Vandoorne will take over from Alonso on Wednesday while Ocon will drive again for Mercedes. Kimi Raikkonen is also in the Ferrari for the second day, taking over from Charles Leclerc.

Pierre Gasly gets another day to impress Red Bull in the RB12 after an electronics problem limited his running on Tuesday, while Toro Rosso runs a debutant as Brazilian Sergio Sette Camara gets his first taste of the STR11.

Pirelli continues its tyre test schedule with Pascal Wehrlein behind the wheel of the 2014 Mercedes, testing 2017 compounds and structure concepts on current size tyres.

Teams will be hoping for better weather on the final day after rain washed out the afternoon session on Tuesday. Wednesday's running will start under glorious summer sunshine but rain is also forecast for this afternoon.

Track running takes place from 09:00 until 18:00, with Tuesday seeing a lunch break between 12:30 and 13:30.
