Fernando Alonso - (18th place): 7/10
Alonso’s frustrations towards Honda started to show after qualifying, with another Q1 exit being followed by an accusation that around 2.8s of performance was being lost on the straights. In the race his start was solid but for once he didn’t make the sort of progress Button did as his team-mate started on soft tyres compared to Alonso’s mediums. The strategy allowed him to close up in the final stint but Button appeared to have him covered before Alonso reported a loss of power and retired.
