Having been frustrated by incidents in recent races, finally a clean weekend for Stevens and one in which he was quicker than team-mate Roberto Merhi throughout. Starting as high as 13th, Stevens raced sensibly in the opening laps and on soft tyres kept Alonso in his sights for a spell before looking after his Pirellis and bringing the car home with a comfortable margin over the second Manor.
