Sebastian Vettel (first, 25 points): 9.5/10
Victory number two of 2017 for Vettel, who now leads the championship by himself. He wasn’t so much disappointed in qualifying third on Saturday, but it was the 4/10ths of a second behind the Mercedes that got his goat. On Sunday, he first made quick work of Hamilton at the first corner then looked, in vain, for an opening on Bottas before anticipating his tyre change. The safety car period, just after, didn’t work in his favour, preventing him from building a bigger lead and putting him out of Lewis’ reach - until Hamilton’s five second penalty was factored in. A brilliant job from the German ace.
