Valtteri Bottas (pole, third, 15 points): 8/10
His first pole position, edging Hamilton by 23/1000ths, turned many a head. But when it was said and done Sakhir left Bottas with a feeling of unfinished business. After botching the start, holding off Vettel became more and more difficult due to the condition of his tyres, just until the German got past through pit stops. No matter the set of tyres mounted on the W08, the problem persisted, to such a point that Valtteri was forced to leave Lewis to do the chasing and assure a second podium from three Grands Prix with the Silver Arrows.
