When he says he sees himself winning at some point, the Australian is undoubtedly a tad over optimistic. But a podium... While he didn’t seem to be really in the hunt, he did manage to set fourth best time in Q3, splitting the Ferraris. While Verstappen went around him just after the lights went out, he hung on to the leading group. Coming in at the right time, the caution period saw him move up to the third when his tyres went off song. He had to make a second unscheduled stop, which dashed all hope of a top three finish.
