Valtteri Bottas (P2, 18 pts) : 9/10
Half a second off the pace relative to the Ferraris on the straights, Bottas tried valiantly but settled for P2 in qualifying. He got off the line quickly, but it wasn’t enough to edge out Vettel. Later in the race, he was on fresher rubber and right behind Hamilton at the re-start. He pushed and could have taken the lead until he received a very apologetic-toned order to hold position. His fifth runner-up finish of the year confirms his status as the wing man in the Silver Arrows.
