F1i's Driver Ratings for the German Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton (P1, 25 pts) : 9/10
Was his flat out run over the kerbs the cause or the consequence of his hydraulic failure? His body language in the aftermath of the mishap had a few pundits concerned. His drive through the field was figured to deliver a 4th or 5th place finish when he came in to swap his completely used softs for ultra-softs. Vettel’s error, the safety car period that followed, the brave decision to stay out, the clemency of the race stewards and tactics all contributed to what may have been a turnng point in the 2018 season. And by the way, Ham and Mercedes also regained the lead in the Driver and Constructor Championships.
