Jolyon Palmer - 15th place - 6.5/10

While Magnussen started from the pit lane. Palmer started last on the grid and got a good launch but then outbraked himself at Turn 1 and had to run wide. Having failed to make up positions, Palmer’s pace was good but slightly hampered in traffic before he flat-spotted his soft tyres and needed a second stop for supersofts, dropping him behind team-mate Magnussen. A few small errors left him as the second Renault on the road.
