Charles Leclerc suffered a heartbreaking end to his German Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver committing a small mistake that led to big consequences at Hockenheim.
Leclerc was skillfully navigating the track's treacherous waters, positioned in second place behind leader Lewis Hamilton on lap 27 when he ran wide at the exit of Turn 15.
The Monegasque found himself on the very slippery run-off tarmac, unable to regain control of his car, even at slow speed, as he drifted into the gravel and out of the race.
Leclerc radioed in his obvious frustration, with himself and the tarmac which he later criticized as being "unacceptable" for F1.

Interestingly, a fan present in Hockenheim's SudTribune A captured footage of Leclerc walking away from his stranded car just as Hamilton veered off course at the exact same spot, when the Safety Car car had already been deployed.
Leclerc was apparently oblivious of Hamilton's mishap which fortunately did not put the Ferrari driver in harm's way.
Hamilton was also lucky to extract himself from the gravel and make his way to the pitlane.
