Kimi Raikkonen is still considering whether to continue racing in F1 in 2021 or head into a posh retirement at the end of the season.
The 40-year-old F1 veteran is in the second and final year of his contract with Alfa Romeo. But this year's delayed season means that a decision on his future will need to be made sooner rather than later.
While undecided, Raikkonen made clear that the postponement of F1's regulation overhaul to 2022 and the extension into next year of the current rule book will not have a bearing on his final choice.
"It doesn’t dictate what happens in the future, I’ll have an answer before next year starts but we haven’t done a single race and it’s been an odd situation this year. We will see what happens," said the Finn ahead of this weekend's opening round of the 2020 season.
"I wouldn’t say they are a lot different to what we had some years ago, the regulations change but the driving part doesn’t change much.
"We’ll see, if we do well than it is more fun than if we don’t do well, but we don’t know where we are going to be so we will do our best to go from this weekend and go from there, then the future will be decided at some point."

Raikkonen admitted that placing Alfa in the midfield pecking order was an impossible task before everyone hits the track on Friday.
"Testing every year it is impossible to say who is where, there is a lot of speculation but in the first race we always see what the real story is.
"We’ll see where we are, who knows on the weekend where it is and how we are."
