Red Bull has disclosed its driver line-up for the third and final pre-season test at Barcelona this week.
The Austrian team managed to bounce back from a low-key opening session in Jerez to rack up significant mileage during last week's four days of testing. Indeed, Red Bull logged the second-highest lap count at Circuit de Catalunya as both Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat could complete race simulations in the Renault-powered RB11.
The two Red Bull drivers were also able to clock fast times on soft tyres, with the Australian even topping the timesheets last Friday. While Kvyat is buoyant about the car’s potential, team-mate Ricciardo feels there’s still some performance to unlock and has called this week’s test “the most important”.
Red Bull has elected to switch its driver schedule for the final four days of testing before Melbourne, with Kvyat driving first on Thursday and Friday and Ricciardo taking over on Saturday and Sunday.
The second Barcelona test will start on Thursday 26 February at Circuit de Catalunya and run until Sunday 1 March.
