Manor confirms Wehrlein and King for Barcelona test

Manor Racing has confirmed that Jordan King will take part in this week's two-day Formula One test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

King will be in the Manor car on Wednesday, while the team's regular race driver Pascal Wehrlein will be participating on the Tuesday.

King is currently competing in the GP2 feeder series with the Racing Engineering squad. It's his second season with the team after a solid rookie year which saw him finish on the podium in the sprint race at Spa-Francorchamps.

The 22-year-old British driver from Warwick has also competed in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship and was the 2013 champion of the British Formula 3 series.

King was taken on as a Formula One development driver by Marussia last year and went on to take part in the Pirelli test in Abu Dhabi at the end of the the season. He was retained in the position by Manor for 2016.

It's also been confirmed that Ferrari Driver Academy driver Antonio Fuoco will take part in the test with Ferrari along with Sebastian Vettel. Fuoco is part of the current GP3 Series driver line-up with Trident.

Only Red Bull and Toro Rosso have yet to announce which drivers will be taking part in the test, which follows this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.

Nico Rosberg and Esteban Ocon will turn out for Mercedes, Alex Lynn and Felipe Massa for Williams, Jenson Button and Stoffen Vandoorne for McLaren, and regular race drivers Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez will split the duties at Haas. Force India will rely on test and development driver Alfonso Celis Jr on both days.
