Was taking the hefty grid penalties worth the trouble? Knowing he’d start at the dull end of the order, the Honey Badger skipped Q2 to save a set of Pirellis. Starting on the yellow soft compound, the Aussie was slower to get into the grove than Hamilton. It was building up nicely however for Danny Ric when a sudden loss of power from his new Renault engine cut his race short.
