Jenson Button - 10th place, 1 point - 7/10
While many of the top ten finishers profited at the start of the race, Button went backwards from his grid slot of 12th. Ended lap one in 15th despite not being caught in contact, and the McLaren might be more competitive this season but it doesn’t enjoy an advantage to recover easily from such a situation. A long first stint saw Button back in 15th once he stopped, but he got the better of Jolyon Palmer and Sainz while further pit stops and Verstappen’s retirement promoted him to a position to score the final point.
