Fernando Alonso - 10th place, 1 point - 6/10
Alonso was left unhappy at the competitiveness of his car, saying McLaren should have finished higher than tenth when starting tenth in such a race, but his spin proved costly. Was running in seventh place with Nasr ahead of him as the race restarted after the final car when he spun at the same spot as Vettel had earlier. Alonso dropped to the very back of the field with just 16 laps to go as a result, and was only able to salvage a point with a move on Ocon on the penultimate lap. His other main incident saw him unhappy with Vettel's driving, but Alonso was hanging on optimistically around the outside of Turn 11 when the Ferrari had got ahead.
