Felipe Massa - DNF - 5/10
Not Massa's finest race, but there was still another moment which tugged at the heartstrings at Interlagos. Jumped Gutierrez before the Safety Car line at the start of the race and received a five second time penalty, before Williams went for an early switch to intermediates in search of pace. The tactic backfired as it had to switch to full wets again under the red flag, and another stop immediately after the next restart dropped him to the back of the field. Had recovered to 14th when he lost control through the fast final corner and hit the wall, stopping in the pit lane and retiring. Not the way he wanted to go out, but with the pit lane closed due to his crash, the walk back to the Williams garage while draped in a Brazilian flag was a beautiful sight.
