Russia has never been Romain’s cup of borscht. A minor hiccup in Q3 put him P9 on the Sunday grid, four spots behind Magnussen. After shedding the hyper-softs very early in the going, the Frenchman was far down the order and had to hold off Ericsson. Little by little, he moved up the timing screen as others came in for tyres. In fact, Grosjean would’ve finished where he started…if not for the Red Bulls making their return to the top ten.
