Valtteri Bottas (pole, P2, 18 pts): 9/10
Sochi was another lost opportunity for Bottas. But this time it wasn’t about bad luck or an opposing squad’s tactics. His loss came in the form of team orders. Valtteri's efforts on Saturday resulted in pole and a mistake by his team mate. On Sunday, he managed to build up a nice gap, but Toto Wolff made the dreaded call to the pitwall after Vettel had positioned himself as a threat to Hamilton. The subsequent extra seven championship points were just too valuable to dismiss. Adding insult to injury, his request, once the threat-level subsided, to be given back the lead and a chance of a second straight win along the shores of the Black Sea fell on deaf ears.
